Peggy Sechrist, Ayurvedic Health Counselor & Nutritional Therapy Practitioner

As an Ayurvedic Health Counselor, I am excited to make available to this community the healing power of the ancient holistic form of medicine known as Ayurveda – a Sanskrit word meaning the science of life. Originating in India, Ayurveda is over 5,000 years old with proven results. The human body is endowed with an amazing automatic healing program. Every 24-hour cycle, the body digests nutrients, filters and detoxes, circulates nourishing blood, rebuilds tissue, and so much more. This endowment is something I consider to be a Divine Design. Ayurveda aims to remove obstacles that can interfere with this automatic healing process and to restore balance to the complex set of functions and interactions taking place at the level of the body, the mind, and consciousness.

Consultation and Health Assessment: In Ayurveda we aim to identify the root cause of an imbalance or disease and correct that. This requires a collection of information, a period of research and analysis followed by a Report of Findings that includes a recommended treatment protocol. Treatments include considerations to diet, lifestyle practices and herbal therapies. Additional body therapies are available when relevant to an individual’s healing needs. Everyone is unique and no two treatment protocols will be the same. This process requires four appointments scheduled over a four to six-week period. Each session is $75.

Peggy and her husband live between Kerrville and Fredericksburg on family ranch property. They were the first in Texas to become Certified Organic in 1995 and the first to direct market organic, grass-fed beef in 1999. They share life with 2 horses, 2 dogs, 2 cats and cherish time with their ten grandkids.
